Vice President of Finance
Waynesburg University is currently seeking applicants for the Vice President of Finance. The Vice President for Finance has responsibility for the leadership, planning and direction of the University's finance and administrative operations, is a member of the executive management team, and reports directly to the President.
The vice president is responsible for: providing executive level direction and management oversight for financial planning, budgeting and budget analysis, accounting and business operations, finance controls and reporting, investment oversight, direct and coordinate the institution's debt financing and debt service payments, risk management and insurance, purchasing and contracts and other initiatives directed by the President.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required, master's degree or CPA strongly preferred. The selected candidate must have extensive experience in administration and management, with knowledge and involvement in a higher education setting desired.
Additional qualifications include:
- The demonstrated ability to analyze and effectively communicate financial information to a variety of constituents.
- Ability to negotiate contracts with various vendors for the maximum benefit of the university, working knowledge of construction, development of various financial models and budgeting to reflect multiple scenarios and strategic outcomes.
- Ability to envision and lead change at an institution-wide level.
