Senior Tax Associate Job Profile
The Senior Tax Associate will be responsible for leading simple to moderately complex tax compliance and planning relationships. This will include review of tax returns and tax projections, as well as communication with clients. The Senior Tax Associate will also be responsible for tax compliance preparation and tax planning support for more complex tax relationships. The Senior Tax Associate will contribute to the training and development of less experienced associate team members and share responsibilities for the completion of firmwide and team goals.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist the Tax team to consistently deliver an efficient and superior client experience with a satisfaction-mean rating of 9.5 or better
- Interpret client tax information to successfully prepare tax returns and projections for more complex client relationships; ensuring accuracy with a high level of attention to detail while deepening technical skills
- Conduct final review of tax filings for clients and resolve issues with clients and the IRS and state/local taxing authorities
- Work cohesively with wealth advisors and specialist teams to seamlessly deliver integrated financial guidance, expert tax planning and compliance services to individuals and families
- Contribute to the tax planning and preparation processes and training of new associates, accordingly, including the explanation and interpretation of tax law
- Display the competence, autonomy, and strategic perspective necessary to earn the confidence of team members
- Proactively leverage resources and use independent judgement when problem-solving. Investigate and research more complex tax-related issues and concerns while preparing or reviewing tax filings or in completing special projects
- Contribute to the best practices and continuous improvement of the tax team by making recommendations to improve efficiency and the client experience
- Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the firm

Requirements
- 4 years tax experience required, including the achievement of a bachelor's or advanced degree
- A CPA designation is required
- A technical understanding of individual income tax planning strategies and compliance
- Strong computational and analytical skills, with a high attention to detail
- A positive, client-centric mindset with the initiative and drive to exceed expectations
- Ability to coordinate across teams and manage internal processes
- Self-motivated to work both collaboratively and autonomously
- Demonstrate initiative to grow both personally and professionally as our industry and firm changes
