Water Treatment and Distribution Operator
Todd Creek Village Metropolitan District provides the water, both potable and irrigation water to the residents and businesses in the Todd Creek community. Currently the district's customer base includes a little over 2,350 residential and business accounts. The total build-out of the district's service area is planned for approximately 12,900 total units. Todd Creek Village Metropolitan District has planned for the future with a forward looking strategic plan utilizing surface water rights delivered through an advanced dual-use water system that makes the most efficient use of Colorado's water resources.

Operates and maintains water treatment and distribution system including servicing of:
-pumps, motors, valves, generators, and pipeline equipment.
-Exercises system blow-off valves, air-vacuum valves, filter equipment, and in-line valves as scheduled.
-Cleans out and maintains system reservoirs as scheduled.
-Maintains pump stations and operation and maintenance facilities including mowing, snow removal, cleaning, painting, and any other associated tasks.
-Becomes familiar with safety guidelines and utilizes them in the workplace.
-Inspects, where necessary, the work of TCVMD contractors and other contractors (i.e., oil pipeline, cable tv, telephone) where TCVMD equipment or property are involved.
-Locate TCVMD equipment and pipelines when necessary for contractors and landowners.
-Maintain activity log associated with spare part inventory use (i.e., ordering, usage, receipt from supplier).
-Read flow meters, adjust pressure reducing valves, and repair flow meters.
-Builds and maintains fencing as required for pump stations, reservoir sites, and along pipeline right-of-way.
-Must be available for and willing to be on call on a 24-hour basis.
-Collect water samples and deliver to lab/perform testing for state compliance.
-Performs all tasks according to operating plans and written standard operating procedures.
-Performs any other tasks as assigned by the Distribution System Manager.
-Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
-intermediate to advanced math skills in hydraulics and algebra
-Basic to advanced knowledge of hand tools, power tools, water hydraulics, chemistry, mathematics, plumbing, pumps, valves, motors, filters, and equipment maintenance.
-Ability to follow and understand safety procedures.
-The ability to identify, troubleshoot, and repair problems with a high degree of competency is required.
-Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and SCADA systems.
-Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
-Ability to work without direct supervision.
-Ability to attend and understand technical courses.
-Ability to detect problems in equipment operations.
