Responsibilities
Salary $45,843.00 Annually |

Must have at least a High School Diploma or GED and an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic or above (EMT-B) with two years previous fire or EMS service experience or technical degree in lieu of experience.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy "L" Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
Must be able to successfully complete performance based fitness test.
Must meet the physical and medical requirements defined by National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1582, "Standard on Comprehensive Occupational Medical Program for Fire Departments"
Training and certification in Essentials of Fire Fighting, IFSAC Firefighter 1 within 365 days from hire, IFSAC firefighter II, Incident Command System, Firefighter Radiation worker, all Company required training (including area access), Technical Rescue, Wildland Fire Fighting, and current EMT-B (minimum) license. Must be able to gain EMS reciprocity for the State of Idaho EMT license prior to the end of the fire academy. Physical demands for EMT-B requires personnel performing Emergency Medical Services work are in good physical condition which would not be adversely affected by lifting, carrying, and balancing at times, patients in excess of 125 pounds (250 with assistance). The EMT-B must have the ability to maintain motor coordination for the well-being of the patient and co-workers over uneven terrain. Physical demands for EMT-B requires personnel performing Emergency Medical Services work are in good physical condition which would not be adversely affected by lifting, carrying, and balancing at times, patients in excess of 125 pounds (250 with assistance).
An EMT-B must have the ability to maintain motor coordination for the well-being of the patient and co-workers over uneven terrain.
