Assistant Finance Director
The City of Superior, Wisconsin has a population of 27,257 and the city limits cover a 40 square mile area. The City is at the border of Wisconsin on the shore of Lake Superior and is part of a larger metropolitan area which includes Duluth, Minnesota. The City offers four seasons of recreation and relaxation. Barker's Island combines a 420-slip marina with a Maritime museum. Snowmobile and ATV trails throughout the area connect to the Tri-County Corridor, a 60-mile recreational trail, from Superior to Ashland, Wisconsin. Twenty-one parks dot the City of Superior, the largest of which is Billings, located adjacent to the St. Louis River. The Superior Municipal Forest is a 4,500 acre forest located in Superior's city limits.
Performs and supervises complex fiscal duties including the collection, investment and disbursement of City funds. Bachelor's degree in accounting, five years experience and supervisory experience preferred.
Work Location: Government Center, 1316 N. 14th Street, Superior, WI
Hours: Full-time; 8:00 am- 4:30 pm Monday-Friday (40 hours/week) and as otherwise needed.
Starting Salary: The starting salary range is approximately $71,718-$77,688 based on level of education & experience as it relates to the qualifications.

Requirements:
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree with a major in accounting and 5 years of progressively responsible accounting and financial administration experience, one year of which involved supervision of subordinate staff or an associate's degree with 8-10 years of progressively responsible accounting and financial administration experience, one year of which involved supervision of subordinate staff.
