Speech/Language Pathologist
Children FIRST Therapy provides early intervention therapy services in the Spokane area in an integrated preschool run by therapists who skillfully engage children in their therapy work during their preschool activities and learning. We strive to not only benefit the children within Spokane Valley, but to also better the family unit as a whole providing resource coordination, hands-on involvement in the child's therapy, as well as home therapy sessions. Children FIRST is a dynamic organization looking to enhance the community by making an impact in the lives of the children and families that they serve. The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for conducting initial evaluations for Speech Therapy services, providing ongoing Speech Therapy services and building positive relationships with families and children, as well as communicating effectively with fellow staff. This position is flexible!
Additional responsibilities Include: Complete all review updates Compile reports Provide Speech Therapy in preschool therapy groups, in home, and in child care facilities Encourage parent participation in both therapy groups and in home visits Attend weekly MDT meetings Document all services provided Attend relevant development training as necessary.
Key Competencies: Speech Therapy degree from an accredited program Current Washington State licensure Therapist with CCC-SLP highly preferred
