Controls Engineer
(Grand Rapids, MI) Utilize mechatronics engineering skills to install, maintain, repair and improve equipment and assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring and equipment to fulfill business needs. Provide operational expertise in the areas of electricity, operational technology, software management and controls to assist the Production Team in the safe and efficient production of world class beer. Optimize safe electrical functions of all current and future equipment and maintain food safe quality production. Coordinate with Equipment Installation Manager and Vice President of Brewing Operations to provide engineering plan and resources needed for new equipment design and installation. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems, high speed production equipment and components using test equipment, computers and hand tools to determine root cause of a breakdown and implement corrective actions. Design and maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at county, state and federal levels and instruct staff related to technical requirements for safety regulation compliance and personal protection equipment (PPE).
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering and four years of electrical controls engineering technology experience required.
