Rideshare Operations Specialist

Applications are now being accepted for the position of Rideshare Operations Specialist in the Commuteride Department. This is a non-exempt position with a starting wage of $18.20 to $20.90 per hour/DOQ. Primary Responsibilities: • Coordinate and track tasks related to maintenance/registration of the vanpool fleet. • Conduct regular physical examinations of all vehicles in the vanpool fleet and coordinate with external agencies to complete inspections • Coordinate and monitor mileage and condition of vans in the Commuteride program to maximize useful life, including rotation of existing fleet and the proper placement of equipment using FTA and DOT policy • Distribute, monitor, and track vanpool program account cards and PIN numbers (fuel and car wash). • Monitors invoices and payments for all maintenance vendors, tracks and enters all Operations purchase orders. • Assist with gathering police reports and accident information for Rideshare Coordinator; • Maintains driver records, requests DMV records for vanpool drivers list. • Recruits and trains volunteer drivers. • Assist with resolving rider and van route-related problems. • Use GPS (telematics) system to monitor drivers and fleet for the safety of drivers and effectiveness of fleet & routes. • Issues corrective driving statements and warnings • Assist with vanpool maintenance and repair budget estimates and monitoring. • Coordinates with local vendors to get estimates for fleet services

Qualifications: • The successful candidate must be detail oriented and have excellent communication skills, the ability to deal effectively with the public/volunteers, and general office practices and procedures. • Good knowledge of fiscal record keeping and budgeting procedures, business math, local geography and fleet maintenance practices and insurance practices. • This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and asset management software. • Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities are acceptable.
