Applications are now being accepted for the Capital Projects Manager at the Ada County Highway District in the Boise, Idaho area. This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $105,664 - $121,472 annually, DOQ. Primary Responsibilities: • The Capital Projects (CP) Manager is responsible for the management of the project process for all District capital projects including scheduling, cost estimating, project controls and administration. • The Manager will need to work with federal, state and local transportation, land use agencies, consultants and contractors to coordinate and administer the Capital Projects Program. • The Manager exercises supervision over three (3) subordinate teams: Project Management-Local, Project Management-Federal, and Right of Way Management.
Qualifications: • The successful candidate must have strong management skills supplemented with a comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of federal and state laws relative to the operation of a Highway District, a strong project management background, and a firm understanding of Management practices and procedures is a must. • Must have strong leadership skills and have the ability to coach the CP department in a direction that is consistent with the Vision, Mission, and Priorities of the Highway District. • Must have considerable knowledge of District programs and project parameters, including budgetary process; funding sources including Federal Aid; principles and practices of public administration; planning and programming methods. • Must have proven experience in simultaneously managing scope, schedule, and budget for multiple project levels. • Must have the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of technical and administrative disciplines. • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Public Administration or related field is required. Experience in road, bridge, sidewalk, and traffic project design and construction is a plus. An Idaho P.E. license is preferred. • Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
